“I am really excited to have the opportunity to attend the ‘Leatheheads’ premiere as a representative of the Greer Community,” Stephanie said.
“Greer is a great place to live and people are wonderful. It’s not often that a small town receives this kind of attention and recognition. Everyone should be proud of this accomplishment. I feel honored that we are part of a movie with such well known actors and I cannot wait to watch it on the BIG Screen!”
Jim Fair a member of the organizing committee said Stephanie’s appearance will bring extra attention to Greer and to Miss Greater Greer’s platform of Child Abuse Prevention and Education to a wide audience.
“The entire organizing committee is extremely pleased Stephanie will join our premiere and attend the celebration at the Zentrum,” Fair said. “Stephanie has been very active promoting her platform and we welcome the opportunity to partner with her and to give her a high-profile venue to spread the message of this valuable organization.
“As Greer’s official representative to the premiere, we take pride that Stephanie represents a great community and many Extras that contributed to this film. I am anticipating that many Extras will want to join Stephanie in her effort to prevent child abuse through education,” Fair said.
Greer was among several Upstate communities where the film was shot. Stephanie will join many Greer residents who were Extras on the “Leatherheads” set at the premiere.
The movie features Oscar Award winners George Clooney and Renee Zellweger. Clooney is making his directing debut.
