George Clooney: He was a class act. Although he wore many different hats, I never saw him lose control. He always treated extras and cast equally. The only person I saw get under George’s skin was John Krasinski razzing him about his basketball skills. We were all laughing the day George came to the set wiping his forehead with John’s $100 bills after taking him to the woodshed.
Renee Zellweger: She was sweet, always nice to the cast and extras. Renee would frequently make sure I was looked after in the heat. Although she never shared her umbrella with me, Renee did make sure I was not overexposed. I later found out it was Renee who asked an assistant for an umbrella for me and to keep me lathered in SPF 30 sun screen. She’s a doll!
John Krasinski: Cool. Just a cool guy. Talks the walk but can’t walk the talk in hoops (See George above).
Trainer: I liked the team trainer as a person. But he kept me on too short a leash. I thought I had him fooled one time when I jumped up and teased him by slobbering all over him. No such luck.
Big Gus: That’s one guy I stayed away from. He was bigger than huge. I remember one time a scene was set up where a player was under Big Gus. It was all scripted and turned out well. But another time I thought I felt an earthquake and it was Big Gus falling on the ground! I don’t mind telling you my bowels were a little unsettled. |
