The entire experience was rewarding After reading in the newspaper about a big production movie to be filmed in Greenville about football in the 1920’s, I decided to give it a try and took a couple photos to the casting call at Greenville Tech. A few weeks later I got a call from the casting office letting me know I was accepted and to come in for costume fitting. George Clooney actually sat right in front of me during lunch as he dined with extras that day. My role at North Greenville was a fan. The following week I worked all week in Boiling Springs as a fan and it was bitter cold. I worked one day in Ware Shoals as a fan and one day at Hughes Academy as a game official. I got the call to work at Travelers Rest as a linesman (chain gang) the whole week. I did work two days in North Carolina as a photographer in a scene with Renee Zellweger and Jonathan Pryce. I also did the Chicago Tribune scene with Renee which was pretty cool as she actually bumps into me going to the elevator. I got to meet some great people and developed some friendships as result of working on this film. I also enjoyed just seeing how a big budget film is made and learning about the business. Leatherheads was a great experience for me!
