When did you decide to make a casting call?
My son called to tell me that he had secured me a spot.
 
Who was your first call to when you learned you were going to be in a George Clooney produced movie?
I was happy to tell my wife that I had a part in the movie.

What was your first experience like on the movie set? Was it what you expected?
After going to wardrobe we waited for a long period of time in the holding area.  My son, who had already experienced this in Traveler’s Rest, prepared me for the long wait.

What was the role you were cast? What was your wardrobe?
I was cast as a fan.  I wore a long overcoat, scarf, hat, tie and shirt.

OK, be honest, did you do anything to maneuver yourself closer to the camera or into a scene?
No.

How close did you get to George Clooney or Renee Zellweger?
George walked within about 10 feet of me while I was on the field. Renee came walking by while I was sitting up near the press box.

What surprised you the most about how a movie was produced?
I really thought they would do more takes for each scene.

Outside from your participation: What is the best memory you take away from your experience.
My best memory was being able to experience this with my son, two grandsons, and daughter-in-law.
 
Were there any use of props that intrigued you or you thought ‘now I know how they do that! What impressed me most was the fact that the clothing, props, hair, etc. were authentic to the time period and the detail in which this was carried out.

Would you work with George Clooney again if his company called you?
Yes.

What would your response be?
I would be glad to do it again!
